Whatever Colors... at Amazon UK + DE

Whatever Colors You Have In Your Mind, the 2007 various artist album from Sweden is now available digitally from Amazon in the UK and Germany. Both sources also have listings for the CD, but it is not currently available.

DylanGrass 9/7/10

Due to be released September 7th is DylanGrass, a new addition to the Grass Series by Synergy Entertainment. As far as I know, previous albums in this series (CashGrass, DeadGrass, ElvisGrass, BeatlesGrass, etc.) are all-instrumental and credited to The Grassmasters.

» Swedish pop band Tages recorded a cover of Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine in 1969, just prior to evolving into Blond. The unreleased track has since appeared on the 1996 Fan Club CD The Years Of The Blond and the 2001 German CD Blond: The Lilac Years (Rock-In-Beat RB174.) Both CDs have the same tracklist, including the entire The Lilac Years album by Blond plus bonus tracks by Blond and Tages. Be aware that some other reissues of The Lilac Years include different bonus tracks and do not include the Dylan cover.

An all-Dylan show by the Steve Wynn Band is available at the Live Music Archive. The 18-song show was recorded August 13, 2009 at Hana-bi, Marina di Ravenna, Italy. Robyn Hitchcock joins Steve for two songs.

The winner of DylanRadio.com's Battle of the Dylan Cover Bands is If Not For You by David Bertsch. Big Son's version of the same song takes 2nd place. 3rd place as determined by popular vote is One Too Many Mornings by Jacques Mees.

All 60 have been added or updated in the Dylan Covers DataBase. Pre-existing covers have had DylanRadio.com listed as a secondary source. I have assumed the entries are the same recordings as already listed, although in some cases the credit was changed from a group to solo or vice versa. Most likely a few other new additions are also duplicates of earlier listings but I lack the info to make that determination.

Battle of the Dylan Cover Bands - The Final

The final polls of DylanRadio.com's Battle of the Dylan Cover Bands are now open, pitting David Bertsch vs. Big Son and their duelling versions of If Not For You. The winner will be determined by the judges, but public voting might influence the decision.
This years victor will have their track added to the commercial release of Paradiddle Records' 2011 compilation Bob Dylan Uncovered 2.

Public voting will determine 3rd place. The victor of this match-up (Zelda Michele vs. Jacques Mees) will have their song available on Paradiddle Records' featured download area (along with the 2nd place winner.)
